ECPAT has, for example,<strong> organized an event at the French-speaking Brussels Parliament to raise awareness among parliamentarians on the issue of child trafficking in Belgium<\/strong>. Professionals came to testify: police officers, magistrates, reception centers for survivors of trafficking, national rapporteur on trafficking&#8230; A conclusion was reached: it is a priority to improve the detection and protection of survivors. <strong>Parliamentarians have committed to implementing the concrete recommendations made that day.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>ECPAT Belgium is also a member of several national coalitions:<\/strong> the Coordination of NGOs for the rights of the child, the Kinderrechtencoalitie and the Platform for the rights of the child in development LEVEL<\/h3>\n<p><strong>ECPAT Belgium acts as the European office of ECPAT International<\/strong> and regularly takes part in European meetings, consultations, or other events. ECPAT is also <strong>a member of several European platforms<\/strong> such as the EU Civil Society Platform against Trafficking in Human Beings or the Initiative for Children in Migration.<\/p>\n<p>Coordinated by <a href=\"http:\/\/tdh-europe.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Terre des Hommes<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/marioproject.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mario project<\/a> aims to improve the level of protection of migrant children from and in Europe against exploitation and trafficking. ECPAT Belgium is responsible for European advocacy, consisting in particular of monitoring and influencing European policies concerning migrant children.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Together against Sexual Exploitation of Children&#8221; is the result of a collaboration with <a href=\"http:\/\/missingchildreneurope.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Missing Children Europe<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.enacso.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">eNACSO<\/a>, during which ECPAT Belgium conducted research on the implementation of the &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/op.europa.eu\/en\/publication-detail\/-\/publication\/d20901a4-66cd-439e-b15e-faeb92811424\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">European Directive on combating the sexual abuse and sexual exploitation of children and child pornography<\/a>&#8221; in the 27 Member States of the European Union.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div id='av-layout-grid-3'  class='av-layout-grid-container av-1ptzrv7-9ecc521a61d4fa6093171bf7a547f667 entry-content-wrapper main_color av-flex-cells  avia-builder-el-13  el_after_av_layout_row  avia-builder-el-last  grid-row-not-first  container_wrap fullsize'  >\n\n<style type=\"text\/css\" data-created_by=\"avia_inline_auto\" id=\"style-css-av-12nzro3-22ee468708ad172d2ee27f5f5e26b65f\">\n.flex_cell.av-12nzro3-22ee468708ad172d2ee27f5f5e26b65f{\nvertical-align:middle;\nbackground-color:#ffffff;\n}\n.responsive #top #wrap_all .flex_cell.av-12nzro3-22ee468708ad172d2ee27f5f5e26b65f{\npadding:50px 50px 50px 50px !important;\n}\n<\/style>\n<div class='flex_cell av-12nzro3-22ee468708ad172d2ee27f5f5e26b65f av-gridrow-cell av_one_half no_margin  avia-builder-el-14  el_before_av_cell_one_half  avia-builder-el-first ' ><div class='flex_cell_inner'><section  class='av_textblock_section av-k2hutk16-fc0204851742c4e49ec2f40e75c29fc9 '   itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><h3>AT INTERNATIONAL LEVEL<\/h3>\n<p>Between 2010 and 2014, ECPAT Belgium supported research, advocacy, and awareness projects around the world, notably <strong>in Romania, Colombia, and Senegal.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/acsis.ro\/en\/blog\/prevention-of-trafficking-in-women-and-children\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Preventing Trafficking in Women and Children<\/a>\u201d was to raise the awareness of the beneficiaries of ACSIS (<strong>Romanian NGO<\/strong> working with single mothers) on the realities of trafficking, through workshops and manuals.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201c<strong>Golondrina<\/strong>\u201d project began with awareness campaigns in Colombian schools (in <strong>Santafe, Candelaria and San Cristobal<\/strong>) to prevent child sexual abuse.
