World Day Against Trafficking in Persons

Almost one third of the trafficked victims worldwide are children. The World Day Against Trafficking in Persons is the occasion for ECPAT Belgium to remind the importance of prevention. In March 2017, we have published a brochure to inform migrant children potential victims of trafficking about their rights in Belgium. Please disseminate widely. Together, we must act against trafficking in human beings.

First Global Study on the sexual exploitation of children in travel and tourism

After two years of research, ECPAT International publishes the first Global Study on the sexual exploitation of children in travel and tourism, focusing on a phenomenon in constant evolution. Since 20 years, the number of victims has increased, despite the measures taken by the international community. Regarding the offenders, the western, caucasian, rich and aged male is no longer the typical delinquent. To break down false representations that still exist on this tragic reality, immerse yourself in the study!
