ERADICATE THE SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OF CHILDREN

This has been our mission since 1990. As a member of the ECPAT International network, we are making every effort to achieve this goal.

PREVENT

Through regular preventive actions with professionals such as tourism professionals, lawyers, guardians, our awareness actions highlight the realities of child sexual exploitation to stop abuses.

LISTEN

Our cornerstone is to position children, youth, victims at the center of our movement. Making their voices heard in our studies, strategic choices and actions is essential to stay connected and attentive to their needs.

MOBILIZE

The fight against the sexual exploitation of children must be carried out together. Therefore, ECPAT Belgium mobilizes its partners and civil society as a whole to protect children.

ABOUT ECPAT

ECPAT is the only international network exclusively dedicated to the fight against the sexual exploitation of children. Our common goal is to eradicate the sexual exploitation of children around the world.

To achieve this goal, ECPAT conducts research to raise public awareness of this still unknown problem. ECPAT coordinates advocacy at all levels to strengthen national justice and protection systems and increase investments in the fight against sexual exploitation of children. At the heart of our work are children’s voices, reflected in our research, programs and campaigns.

Revolted by child prostitution in Asia, organizations launch campaign against sexual exploitation of children
1993
Creation of ECPAT Belgium
1996
From an international campaign, ECPAT becomes an international network
2002
To report is to protect, the Belgian site “I say STOP!” is launched
2012
ECPAT International and The Body Shop becomes partners in the “Stop Sex Trafficking of Children & Young People” Campaign
2017
The 25 years of struggle against child sexual exploitation rewarded with the INTERPOL “Crimes against Children” award!
