A better equipped sector
Professionals from the youth sector are on the front line in detecting potential cases of sexual exploitation and trafficking of children. Unfortunately, they are often too unequipped to identify signs of concern and take appropriate actions to protect victims.
ECPAT Belgium organized the second training for the youth sector on child trafficking in partnership with the AGAJ, the SPF Justice, as well as the centres for (child) victims of trafficking PAG-ASA, Sürya and Esperanto.
Our program was based on the detection of signals linked to child trafficking, on the understanding of the role of specialized centres, on having a better overview of the profiles of child victims in Belgium and on solving concrete cases in small groups all of it with interactive and participatory methods!
We can’t wait for the third edition!
